Original Post: New Burp Suite API: we want your feedback! | Blog
Sean Burns, a developer working on the Burp Suite project, updates users on the progress of the new “Montoya” API, which is a rewrite of the existing “Wiener” API used in Burp Suite Professional and Community Edition. The Montoya API has been available since the release of Burp Suite 2022.9.5 and will continually have more features added, including recently added support for WebSocket listeners in version 2022.11. Burns invites users to test the new API and provide feedback by reporting bugs or offering suggestions. The goal is to enhance the functionality available to writers of Burp Suite extensions and improve user experience, with future updates expected to include support for project files, scan configurations, and table customization. Users are encouraged to provide feedback via the Montoya API GitHub site and can find inspiration from the range of open-source extensions available in the BApp Store.
