Original Post: My experience interning at r2c
Vivek, an undergraduate Computer Science student at Drexel University, has been navigating the dilemma of working at a startup versus a big-tech company. Recently, he interned at the startup r2c and then at Meta, giving him a chance to explore both environments. At r2c, Vivek appreciated their fast-paced culture, open-source project Semgrep, and a hands-on onboarding process that allowed him to start coding immediately. He worked on significant projects, including a Slack integration for Semgrep, and valued the startup’s emphasis on customer-driven development. Despite leaving r2c, Vivek cherished the passionate and humble team, alongside the growth and memorable experiences he gained during his internship.
