Insights from the Latest Bay Area OWASP Meetup Presentation

Original Post: Bay Area OWASP Meetup presentation

The content expresses gratitude to the Bay Area OWASP Meetup for the opportunity to present at their “Hacker Days” event on May 22nd. The presentation focused on a tool called Semgrep, a program analysis tool for writing security and correctness queries on source code across multiple languages (Python, Java, Go, C, and JavaScript) using a simple grep-like interface. Originally developed by Yoann Padioleau, who also worked on its predecessor, Coccinelle, Semgrep was further developed during his tenure at Facebook. Padioleau is now part of the r2c team. A video of the presentation and downloadable slides are also provided.
