The Office of the National Cyber Director announced the Service for America Initiative, part of the National Cyber Workforce and Education Strategy (NCWES), to enhance cybersecurity education in the software workforce. Snyk, a developer security company, has committed to this initiative by offering free cybersecurity education through its platform, Snyk Learn. This includes providing 10 free hands-on training sessions annually, with a focus on helping students, new employees, and existing employees adapt to evolving cybersecurity threats. Snyk Learn offers interactive lessons and customized learning paths on critical security topics and is set to host a free Capture the Flag 101 workshop in November for students to build essential security skills. Danny Allan, Snyk’s CTO, emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering future cybersecurity professionals and enhancing digital security.
