Original Post: Deploy Snyk onto Amazon EKS directly from your AWS Management Console
Snyk has introduced an add-on for Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) available directly in the AWS Management Console. This integration allows customers to deploy the Snyk Runtime Sensor on EKS clusters using the same methods as native AWS services, either through the AWS Management Console or AWS CLI. The add-on has passed AWS’s validation tests, ensuring seamless operation with EKS.
To deploy the Snyk add-on, users must navigate to their EKS cluster, select “Get more add-ons,” find Snyk, subscribe, configure, and finalize the installation. This streamlined process eliminates the need for a separate procurement process. A Snyk license is required.
For AWS CLI users, the add-on can be deployed using the create-addon CLI command, provided they have subscribed to Snyk in the AWS Marketplace and have the necessary permissions.
